This Victron Energy Orion-Tr DC-DC Converter is non-isolated and features a high efficiency of over 95% due to synchronous rectification. It includes a remote on-off connector on the high power models, eliminating the need for a high current switch in the input wiring. This connector can be operated with a low power switch or the engine run/stop switch. Models with an adjustable output can also be used as a battery charger, for instance, to charge a 12-Volt starter or accessory battery in a 24-Volt system. Up to five units with adjustable output can be paralleled to increase output current. The converter has screw terminals for easy installation without special tools and offers IP43 protection when installed with the screw terminals oriented downwards.
