FAQs

Can I use this scarecrow indoors?

Yes, the product is suitable for indoor use, provided you have a ceiling height of at least 15 feet to accommodate its size.

How does the built-in timer work?

The timer operates on a 6-hours-on and 18-hours-off cycle, activating automatically each day at the time you first turn it on.

Is the Scarecrow weather-proof?

It is designed for outdoor use, but it is recommended to secure it properly with the stakes and monitor it during extreme wind or storm conditions.

What is the power source for the unit?

The unit connects to a standard electrical outlet; ensure your outdoor outlet is GFI-protected for safety.

Does the head move continuously?

The head animation is triggered by the motion sensor, activating when it detects movement nearby.

How much space does it take to store?

Because it is 15 feet tall, it is recommended to store it in a dry garage or shed; check your manual for specific breakdown dimensions.

Troubleshooting

Scarecrow is not activating when people pass by

Ensure the motion sensor is not obstructed by debris and check that the unit is within the detectable range.

LED lights are flickering intermittently

Verify the power connection is secure and check the power source for any inconsistent voltage.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup requires two or more people given the height and scale of the unit. First, identify a level, unobstructed area to prevent the figure from leaning. Assemble the base components according to the provided instructions, then secure the structure using the provided ground stakes. For maintenance, ensure the motion sensor lens remains clean and free of cobwebs or debris to maintain sensitivity. During the off-season, store the unit in a cool, dry place within its original packaging to prevent physical damage or sun fading to the sculptural details.
