Full details
The Impulse Office Desk is designed for professionals and home-office workers who prioritize stability and durability in their workspace. Featuring a spacious 1600mm work surface and a heat-resistant melamine finish, it offers a robust platform for daily computing and administrative tasks. While its heavy-duty construction ensures long-term reliability, the desk's size and weight mean it requires a dedicated, permanent space and may be challenging to move once assembled.

FAQs
Can I install a monitor arm on this desk?
Yes, the 25mm thick top is standard and robust enough to support most clamp-style monitor arms.
How much weight can the desk hold?
The desk is designed for standard office use, supporting computer equipment, books, and accessories comfortably.
Does the desk come with tools for assembly?
Basic hardware is provided, but we recommend having a standard screwdriver and potentially a rubber mallet for assembly.
Is the melamine finish waterproof?
It is water-resistant, meaning accidental spills can be wiped up without damage, but the desk should not be exposed to standing water or extreme humidity.
Are the legs removable?
Yes, the legs are detachable, which is helpful if you need to move the desk through tight doorways or relocate offices.
Troubleshooting
The desk feels wobbly after assembly
Check that all steel-to-steel fixings are fully tightened and adjust the leveling feet at the bottom of each leg to compensate for uneven floor surfaces.
Cables are not fitting through the cable ports
Ensure that the port covers are removed or adjusted correctly; for thick power bricks, you may need to route the smaller end of the cable through first.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- High-density 25mm thick desktop provides a solid feel
- Heat-resistant surface is ideal for coffee mugs and hardware
- Sturdy steel-to-steel fixings ensure a tight, long-lasting assembly
- Protective 2mm ABS edging prevents fraying and chipping
- Professional black aesthetic fits most modern office decors
Cons
- Large 1600mm footprint requires significant office space
- Heavy construction makes it difficult to reposition alone
- Assembly is required and may take time for one person
- Limited color options restricted to the black finish
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Assembly: Due to the weight of the 1600mm top and the metal legs, it is recommended to assemble this desk with two people. Ensure all steel-to-steel bolts are tightened securely during setup to maintain the integrity of the frame.
Compatibility: The desk is compatible with most standard under-desk pedestals and monitor arms that clamp onto a 25mm thick surface. Ensure your existing equipment does not exceed the load-bearing capacity of the desk.
Care Instructions: To keep the melamine finish looking new, clean with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive scouring pads, as these can dull the protective finish. Periodically check the leg bolts to ensure they remain tight after the initial "settling" period of use.
