FAQs

Does this product require any tools to set up?

No, the Kaolin screen arrives fully assembled and ready to use right out of the box.

What is the total height of the screen?

The central panel is 160 cm high, while the two side panels are 135 cm high.

Can I use this screen in a bathroom?

Yes, it is suitable for bathrooms, but try to keep it away from direct water contact to maintain the longevity of the natural rattan.

How heavy is the unit?

The total weight of the screen is 4.6 kg, making it easy to maneuver.

Is the material real rattan?

Yes, the structure is made of rattan, known for its strength and warm, exotic appearance.

Troubleshooting

Screen feels wobbly when standing.

Ensure the panels are angled correctly; folding them slightly in a 'zigzag' or 'stepped' position will significantly increase the unit's stability on flat surfaces.

Panels are stiff to fold.

Gently ensure the connecting joints are free of debris. As it is a natural material, the folding action will naturally loosen slightly with regular, careful use.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Arrives fully assembled for instant use
Lightweight and easy to move around
Collapsible for efficient storage
Adds a distinctive vintage and bohemian aesthetic

Cons

Not designed for soundproofing or high-security privacy
Material may be delicate if handled roughly
Fixed dimensions limit usage in very large or very small spaces

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Since the Kaolin screen arrives fully assembled, setup is as simple as unfolding the panels to your desired angle. To care for the rattan and cane, dust the surface regularly with a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, as these can strip the natural finish of the materials. Keep the screen away from direct, prolonged moisture sources in the bathroom to prevent the natural fibers from degrading. If storing, ensure the screen is placed in a dry, cool area where it can remain upright or flat without heavy pressure being applied to the panels.
