Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Simply connect the USB-C end of the cable to the appropriate port on your source device (e.g., laptop, computer) and the other USB-C end to your peripheral device (e.g., monitor, external drive, charger). For full 40Gbps data transfer and 240W power delivery, ensure both connected devices and their respective ports support USB 4.0 specifications.
Compatibility:
This cable is backward compatible with Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4, and USB 3.2/3.1/3.0 devices, though speeds will be limited to the capabilities of the slower device or port. It is designed for devices with USB Type-C ports that support USB 4.0 or higher.
Care:
To maintain the cable's performance and longevity:
- Avoid sharp bends or kinks in the cable.
- Store the cable away from extreme heat or direct sunlight.
- When unplugging, hold the connector firmly rather than pulling on the cable itself.
- Clean the connectors occasionally with a dry, soft brush or compressed air to remove dust.
- Use a damp cloth to clean the braided exterior and aluminum shell if necessary, ensuring it is completely dry before use.
