Product Information
Full details
The Flexi New Neon Tape Dog Lead is ideal for dog owners seeking enhanced visibility and reliable control during walks, especially in low-light conditions. Its primary benefit is the bright neon tape with reflective elements, significantly increasing safety. A potential caveat is that the 5-meter length might be too short for dogs requiring extensive freedom. This retractable lead offers a secure grip, a smooth braking system with a lock function, and is constructed from durable, high-quality materials made in Germany.

FAQs
What is the maximum weight capacity for this lead?
The specific weight capacity varies by model size. Please refer to the product packaging or Flexi's official specifications for the exact limit of the Pink Neon Tape Dog Lead - 5m model.
Can this lead be used in the rain?
Yes, the lead is designed for use in various weather conditions. However, ensure the tape is thoroughly dried before retracting it completely to prevent potential damage or odor.
How do I clean the neon tape?
You can wipe the neon tape with a damp cloth. For tougher spots, use mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before retracting.
Is the locking mechanism reliable?
The locking mechanism is designed for secure control. Press the button to stop extension and hold it to lock the tape at a specific length. Practice using it to become familiar with its responsiveness.
What are the benefits of the reflective side panels?
The reflective side panels significantly increase visibility in low-light conditions, such as at dawn, dusk, or during nighttime walks, enhancing safety by making your dog more noticeable to others.
Can I attach a second lead to this handle?
The handle is designed to accommodate specific Flexi accessories like the Multi Box. It is not intended for attaching a second lead directly.
Where are Flexi leads manufactured?
Flexi leads, including the New Neon Tape Dog Lead, are manufactured in Germany with high-quality components.
Troubleshooting
The tape won't retract smoothly.
Ensure the tape is not twisted or caught on anything. Check for dirt or debris inside the casing and clean gently with a dry cloth. Allow the tape to retract fully on its own without pulling.
The braking system feels stiff or unresponsive.
Check the mechanism for any obstructions. Ensure the tape is clean and dry. Do not force the mechanism; if the issue persists, contact customer support.
The reflective panels appear faded.
Reflective properties can diminish over time with heavy use and exposure. While the neon color remains vibrant, the reflectivity may lessen. Ensure the panels are clean; dirt can obscure reflectivity.
The handle is uncomfortable during long walks.
While designed for comfort, individual grip preferences vary. Consider using the Multi Box accessory, which may alter the feel slightly and provide a more balanced grip for some users.

Cons
The 5-meter length may be insufficient for very large areas or highly active dogs.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Unpack the lead and ensure the tape is not tangled.
Hold the handle securely. To allow the dog to walk, simply let the tape extend naturally. For control, use the braking system.
Compatibility:

It is compatible with the Flexi Multi Box accessory, which can be attached to the handle for convenient storage of treats or waste bags.
Care:
Wipe the tape and casing clean with a damp cloth as needed. Avoid using harsh detergents.
Ensure the tape is fully dry before retracting it completely to prevent mildew.
Periodically check the tape and casing for any signs of wear or damage. Do not use if damaged.
