FAQs

What is the finish of the YSL Lovenude Lip Blusher?

The YSL Lovenude Lip Blusher offers a sophisticated matte finish with a soft-focus, blurred effect.

How long does the hydration last?

The formula contains an 84% lip care base designed for instant hydration and supple-looking lips, with comfortable wear throughout the day.

Can this product be used by people with dry lips?

Yes, the 84% lip care base and nourishing ingredients make it particularly suitable for dry lips, providing moisture and a comfortable feel.

What does 'Blur Technology' do?

Blur Technology helps to create a soft, full-bodied finish that smooths the appearance of the lips, reducing the look of fine lines and creating a blurred effect.

How many shades are available?

The Lovenude collection includes a versatile range of flattering nude and rosy-taupe tones designed to suit all lip colors.

Is the fragrance strong?

The lip blusher is lightly fragranced with a blend of berries (blackberry, blueberry, and wild cherry), providing a pleasant but not overpowering scent.

What is the coverage like?

It provides buildable, sheer coverage. You can wear a single layer for a subtle wash of color or build it up for more intensity.

Troubleshooting

Product feels dry after application.

Ensure lips are well-exfoliated and moisturized before application. Reapply a second layer if needed, as the formula is buildable.

Color does not appear vibrant enough.

Apply multiple layers to build the color intensity. The intended finish is a sheer, blurred effect.

Product seems to fade quickly.

While the formula is designed for comfortable wear, reapplication may be needed throughout the day, especially after eating or drinking, to maintain the desired effect.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Provides a beautiful soft-focus, blurred lip effect.
  • Offers significant hydration and a comfortable, non-drying feel.
  • The buildable coverage allows for a natural, customizable look.
  • Leaves lips feeling moisturized and looking fuller.
  • Features a pleasant, subtle berry fragrance.

Cons

  • The sheer coverage might not be suitable for those seeking opaque color.
  • Color payoff can be subtle, requiring layering for deeper tones.
  • The 'blusher' effect is very soft and may not be bold enough for some.
  • The product is primarily focused on nude and muted tones.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Application:

  1. Ensure lips are clean and dry.
  2. Apply directly from the bullet, starting from the center of the lips and blending outwards.
  3. For a softer look, gently pat the color onto lips with your fingertip.
  4. Layer for increased color intensity as desired.

Compatibility:

This lip blusher is suitable for all skin types and lip conditions. Its hydrating formula makes it ideal for those who experience dryness.

Care:

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Keep the cap tightly closed when not in use to preserve the formula.
  • To clean the exterior of the tube, use a soft, dry cloth.
