Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Preparation: Gather all necessary tools and materials, including the pole, eyebolts, nuts, washers, concrete mix, a post hole digger, and water.
- Hole Excavation: Dig a hole deep enough for the pole to stand firmly. The depth should be at least one-third of the pole's height, with a diameter of about twice the pole's width.
- Pole Placement: Insert the pole into the hole, ensuring it is vertical using a level.
- Concrete Pouring: Mix the concrete according to the manufacturer's instructions and pour it into the hole, surrounding the pole.
- Curing: Allow the concrete to cure completely (typically 24-72 hours) according to the concrete manufacturer's instructions before attaching the shade sail.
- Attachment: Attach the shade sail to the pole using the provided eyebolts, nuts, and washers.
Compatibility
The Shade Sail Pole is designed to be compatible with most shade sails. Ensure that your shade sail has suitable attachment points or can be modified to attach to the eyebolts. The pole's silver finish complements other stainless steel accessories.
Care
- Regularly inspect the pole for any signs of corrosion or damage.
- Clean the pole with mild soap and water. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
- If the paint is chipped, repaint the pole with an appropriate outdoor paint.
