FAQs

Can I use this oven indoors?

No, this appliance is specifically engineered and certified for outdoor use only.

Does it need to be preheated?

Yes, for the best results, always allow the oven to complete its preheat cycle before inserting your food.

Can I wash the pizza stone in the dishwasher?

No, the pizza stone should never be washed in a dishwasher. Clean it by scraping off debris and wiping with a damp cloth only after it has cooled completely.

What is the maximum pizza size it can hold?

Is the cover included in the box?

Yes, a water-resistant cover is included to help protect the unit when stored outdoors.

The Prove function maintains a low, gentle heat suitable for dough fermentation; simply select the setting and place your covered dough inside.

Troubleshooting

The unit does not reach the target temperature

Ensure the door is fully closed and the Chef's View window is not blocked. Check that the heating elements are clean and free of debris.

Pizza base is burning too quickly

Reduce the heat setting using the 'Custom' function or switch to a style setting that provides less bottom-heavy heat.

Excessive smoke during operation

Clean any food residue or grease from the bottom of the oven and ensure the pizza stone is free of burnt flour or crumbs.

Pros and Cons

Pros

No open flames or wood fuel required for easy operation
High-heat performance reaching up to 370 degrees Celsius
Compact footprint ideal for small patios and balconies
Versatile range of cooking modes beyond just pizza
Includes essential accessories to get started immediately

Cons

Requires a reliable outdoor power connection
Limited to 12-inch pizza capacity
Exterior surfaces can become very hot during operation

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setting up the Ninja Artisan is straightforward. Ensure the oven is placed on a stable, flat surface with at least 20cm of clearance on all sides to allow for proper airflow. Because it draws significant power, avoid using it with long or thin extension cords; always plug it directly into a GFCI-protected outdoor wall outlet.

Maintenance involves regular cleaning of the pizza stone using a dry brush once cooled—avoid using soap or immersing the stone in water as it is porous. The included water-resistant cover should be used whenever the unit is not in operation to prevent moisture buildup in the electronic components.
