Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before starting, ensure all surfaces are completely clean, dry, and free of dust or grease to ensure the adhesive bonds correctly. Use a measuring tape and the provided grid on the backing paper to mark your cuts before utilizing a sharp utility cutter for accuracy. For maintenance, simply clean with a soft cloth and mild soap; avoid harsh abrasive cleaners that could scratch the finish. When installing in a kitchen near a hob or sink, apply a thin bead of silicone sealant along the edges where the vinyl meets the fixture to prevent steam or water from infiltrating the adhesive backing, which is the primary cause of edge lifting.
