Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup: To install, select your desired location on a solid wood surface. For optimal results and to prevent wood splitting, especially in harder woods, it is recommended to pre-drill a pilot hole slightly smaller than the hook's thread diameter. Align the hook with the pilot hole and screw it in by hand or with a screwdriver until firmly seated. If installing into drywall or plaster, use an appropriate wall plug (anchor) that is compatible with the hook's screw thread and the wall material. Ensure the chosen anchor is rated for the weight you intend to hang.
Compatibility: The screw thread is designed for direct insertion into wood. It is also compatible with most standard wall plugs, allowing for installation in masonry, drywall, and other wall types when used with the correct anchor. Ensure the wall plug is rated for the load capacity.
Care: To maintain the integrity and appearance of the zinc plating, clean the hooks periodically with a damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, which can damage the protective coating. For exterior use, occasional inspection for any signs of wear or corrosion is recommended, though the zinc plating offers significant long-term protection.
