Setup:
- Prepare your workspace: Cover your work area with newspaper or a drop cloth to protect against spills.
- Gather your tools: Have brushes, a palette (plastic, ceramic, or disposable), a water container for cleaning, and paper towels ready.
- Surface Preparation: Ensure your chosen surface (canvas, paper, wood, etc.) is clean, dry, and free of dust or oils. For highly absorbent surfaces or a smoother finish, consider applying a gesso or primer first.
Compatibility:
Art Studio Acrylic Paint is compatible with most standard acrylic mediums, including retarders (to slow drying), gloss or matte mediums (to alter finish), and texturing gels. It blends seamlessly with other acrylic paints from the Art Studio range and most reputable acrylic brands.
Care:
- Brush Care: Clean brushes immediately after use with soap and water. Never let paint dry on brushes, as it can harden and damage the bristles. Reshape brushes and store them upright or flat.
- Palette Care: Clean your palette while the paint is still wet. Dried acrylic paint can be difficult to remove.
- Paint Storage: Store tubes tightly capped in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure caps are securely replaced after each use to prevent the paint from drying out.
