Yes, the book provides a step-by-step introduction to the history, setup, and basic rules of Mahjong.
The book focuses primarily on the traditional Chinese version of the game, providing a solid foundation for understanding various regional nuances.
This edition contains 224 pages of content.
The book features a durable flexibound cover, which offers the protection of a hardcover with the flexibility of a softcover.
While it covers fundamental tactics and advanced strategies, it is best suited for traditional play; tournament rules vary significantly by organization.
Consult the comprehensive scoring table located in the mid-section of the book for a quick breakdown of point values.
Use the detailed index at the back of the book to cross-reference common terminology with page numbers.
To ensure your book stays in peak condition, store it in a dry, cool area away from direct sunlight, which can fade the cover over time. When using the book during live gameplay, keep liquids and food away from the pages to prevent staining. The flexibound cover is designed to be resilient, but avoid bending the covers back completely to maintain the integrity of the spine. No special software or setup is required; simply reference the index or table of contents to navigate to the specific rules or strategy you wish to study before your next match.
