The Siegen Auto Lock Tape Measure is a professional-grade measuring tool designed for tradespeople and DIY enthusiasts who require precision and ease of use in diverse working conditions. Its standout feature is the automatic locking mechanism, which simplifies one-handed measurements, though users should be mindful that the self-locking retraction requires manual activation via the release button to avoid rapid blade recoil.

Yes, the blade is marked with both metric and imperial units for maximum versatility.
The tape is built to Class II accuracy standards, suitable for professional trade use.

The nylon coating protects the blade markings from abrasion, moisture, and chemical damage, ensuring the scale remains readable over the tool's life.
Yes, this tool is part of the Siegen by Sealey range and includes a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects.
Check for debris or dirt on the blade and clean it; ensure the retraction button is fully depressed during the process.
Clean the blade surface to ensure the locking mechanism can grip the material effectively; ensure no oil or grease is present on the blade.
No assembly is required for the Siegen Auto Lock Tape Measure. To maintain the tool's precision, keep the blade clean of debris, grease, or sticky residue that could interfere with the auto-lock retraction mechanism. After use in damp or dusty conditions, wipe the blade with a clean, dry cloth before retracting to keep the internal spring mechanism free of contaminants. Avoid letting the tape retract at high speed unattended, as this can damage the hook or the internal locking teeth over time. Store the tool in a dry place to prevent internal corrosion of the spring system.
