The Bostik Cementone Super Penetration Bitumen Primer is a professional-grade surface treatment designed for contractors and DIY enthusiasts who need a reliable base for roofing and waterproofing projects. Its primary benefit is its high-penetration formula that binds loose particles on porous surfaces to ensure superior adhesion for subsequent bituminous coatings; however, it is important to note that its specific formulation is limited to compatible bitumen-based systems and requires careful surface preparation to achieve optimal results.

No, the surface should be clean and dry to ensure proper penetration and long-term adhesion.
This product is specifically designed for bituminous materials, concrete, and metals; do not use it on plastic or PVC surfaces.
Clean all application tools immediately using a suitable solvent like white spirit.
The black finish is intended to be a base layer and will be covered by your final bituminous coating, so it will not affect the final visual aesthetic.
Yes, this primer is formulated for both brush and spray application methods.
Coverage varies based on the porosity of the substrate; highly porous surfaces will absorb more product than non-porous ones.
High humidity or low temperatures may delay drying; provide additional ventilation and wait until the surface is completely dry to touch before applying the next coat.
Ensure all loose dust, grease, and moisture were removed prior to application; the surface must be clean for the primer to bond correctly.
Before application, ensure the substrate is clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, or loose debris. Use a stiff brush to remove any flaking material or moss. If using a spray device, verify that the viscosity is compatible with your nozzle size to avoid clogging. Once applied, ensure the primer is fully cured (non-tacky) before applying final coatings. Clean brushes and spray equipment immediately after use using a white spirit or a professional-grade bituminous solvent, as the primer will harden permanently once cured. Store the container in a cool, well-ventilated area with the lid tightly sealed to prevent solvent evaporation and product thickening.
