Uni-ball Erasable gel pens are the smart choice for your everyday stationery needs. These pens feature a sleek metallic barrel with a clear cap and contain an improved ink formula that is denser and clearer than previous models. The pens have an eraser function at the end of the barrel. Simply turn the pen upside-down to activate its lock-mechanism for secure and stable erasing. The specially-formulated ink changes from colored to clear when heat is applied, allowing for clean "erasing." The same pen can then be used to rewrite over the erased lines. Erased lines may reappear if exposed to very low temperatures (around -18°C). Rubbing the ink line with the pen's cap generates enough heat to turn the ink clear. Additional heat ensures the color does not return. An eraser is located on top of the cap and on the end of the pen, providing convenience for users who place the cap on the pen's end while writing.
