Product Information
Full details
The Shimano Aero X1 11.5m pole is designed for entry-level anglers seeking a high-performance, affordable option for mixed carp and silver fish fishing. Built from high-quality Japanese carbon, it offers exceptional balance, stiffness, and lightness, making it a reliable workhorse for those who do not require the reach of longer, more expensive competition poles. While it excels in value and versatility, users should note that the maximum reach is capped at 11.5 meters, which may limit long-range access on expansive commercial lakes.

How do I clean the pole?

Troubleshooting
Sections feeling sticky during shipping
Clean the pole sections with a damp cloth to remove grit and apply a light silicone-based pole polish to restore the Ultra Sound finish.
Difficult to align sections correctly
Ensure you are using the Aero Alignment System markers on each joint; if they are worn, re-mark them with a permanent marker for easy identification.
Top kit feels slightly soft
Check that the elastic tension is correct; if it remains soft, verify that you are using a top kit appropriate for the size of fish you are targeting.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure peak performance, always use the Aero Alignment System markers when assembling the sections to maintain structural integrity. The pole is compatible with the entire Shimano Aero pole top kit range, making it easy to swap between dedicated carp kits and lighter silver fish setups. For care, keep the joints clean and free of grit to prevent wear. Store the pole in a rigid holdall when not in use to avoid crushing or impact damage. If you choose to install a puller kit, carefully drill or cut at the reinforced band area to maintain the strength of the top section.
