Product Information

Full details

The Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is for individuals seeking a natural, radiant complexion with buildable coverage. Its key benefit is a featherlight, skin-like finish that blurs imperfections and enhances luminosity. A potential consideration is its medium coverage, which may require building for those desiring full coverage. This newly reformulated foundation utilizes Liquid Silk Technology to visibly brighten and refine skin texture, offering up to 24 hours of hydration for a non-oily, fresh look. Available in 44 shades, including new additions, it features pigment precision technology for a closer match to true-to-skin tones.

FAQs

Is this foundation suitable for sensitive skin?

The formula is designed to be gentle, but if you have very sensitive skin, it's always recommended to perform a patch test on a small area of your jawline before full application.

How do I find my best shade match?

Armani Beauty offers a wide range of 44 shades. It's best to consult the shade finder on the Armani Beauty website or test shades in-store under natural light for the most accurate match.

Can I use this foundation with a primer?

Yes, this foundation is compatible with most primers. Using a primer can help enhance its longevity and finish, depending on your skin type and desired outcome.

What is the coverage level?

The Luminous Silk Foundation offers buildable medium coverage. You can wear it sheer for an everyday look or layer it for more coverage.

Does this foundation have SPF?

This product does not contain SPF. It is recommended to use a separate SPF product before applying makeup for sun protection.

How long does the foundation typically last on the skin?

When properly applied and potentially set, the foundation is designed to provide a fresh look for many hours. Its hydrating properties also help maintain a comfortable feel throughout the day.

Is the formula oil-free?

The foundation is formulated to provide a non-oily, freshly-applied effect, making it suitable for those who prefer a finish that isn't greasy.

Troubleshooting

Foundation looks streaky or uneven

Ensure your skin is properly prepped and moisturized. Use a damp makeup sponge or a well-blended brush. Apply in thin layers, building coverage as needed.

Shade appears too light or too dark

Although formulated for true-to-skin tones, lighting conditions can affect shade perception. Try sampling the foundation in natural light. Consider using a slightly lighter shade with bronzer or a darker shade with concealer to adjust.

Foundation feels too dewy or oily after application

This can occur on very oily skin types. Try using a mattifying primer before application and setting the T-zone with a light dusting of translucent powder after application.

Product separates in the bottle

Gently shake the bottle before each use to re-emulsify the formula. This is normal for some liquid foundations.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Application:

Shake the bottle gently before use. Dispense a small amount onto the back of your hand or a palette. Apply using fingertips, a damp makeup sponge, or a foundation brush, blending outwards from the center of the face. For increased coverage, allow the first layer to set slightly before applying additional product.

Compatibility:

This foundation is generally compatible with most skincare routines. It can be used with various primers and setting powders. It performs well on normal, combination, and dry skin types. For very oily skin, consider using a mattifying primer underneath and setting with a setting powder, particularly in the T-zone.

Care:

Store the foundation in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ensure the cap is securely closed after each use to prevent drying. To clean makeup brushes or sponges used with the foundation, wash them regularly with a gentle brush cleanser and allow them to air dry completely.
