This 3-meter Kenable 002013 DisplayPort cable is for users needing to connect computers to high-resolution displays or home-theatre systems. Its key benefit is providing a stable, high-bandwidth digital audio/video connection over a single cable. A potential caveat is that full bandwidth transmission is guaranteed for up to 2 meters, with reduced bandwidth for longer runs like this 3-meter version, which may impact maximum resolution or refresh rate at the extended length.

DisplayPort is a digital display interface standard that transmits both audio and video signals between a computer and a display device, designed to offer high resolution and bandwidth over a single cable.
Yes, DisplayPort cables can support high resolutions like 4K. However, for a 3-meter cable, achieving the highest refresh rates (e.g., 4K @ 120Hz) might be limited compared to shorter cables due to signal attenuation. 4K @ 60Hz is generally well-supported.
Yes, the DisplayPort standard inherently supports digital audio transmission alongside video.
The connectors have a small mechanism that clicks into place, preventing accidental disconnection. You need to press this mechanism to release the connector.
No, this is a DisplayPort cable and requires DisplayPort ports on both devices. It is not directly compatible with HDMI ports, although adapters may exist.
The DisplayPort standard supports high bandwidths, with 8b/10b data transmission. For a 3-meter cable, the effective bandwidth might be reduced compared to shorter cables, potentially impacting very high resolution or refresh rate combinations.
Gently wipe the gold-plated connectors with a dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid using liquids or abrasive materials.
Ensure both ends of the cable are securely plugged into the correct DisplayPort ports on both the source and display devices. Try connecting the cable to a different DisplayPort on your devices. Test with a shorter, known-working cable to rule out cable failure. Verify that the correct input is selected on the display device.
Check for any obstructions or damage to the connectors or cable. Ensure the cable is not tightly bent or kinked. Try reseating the connectors. If the issue persists, the 3-meter length might be contributing to signal degradation; try a shorter cable if possible.
Confirm that both your source device (graphics card) and display device support the desired resolution and refresh rate over DisplayPort. Ensure the cable is functioning correctly, as signal degradation over 3 meters can limit maximum bandwidth. Check display settings in your operating system.
Setup: Simply plug one male DisplayPort connector into the DisplayPort output port on your source device (e.g., computer, graphics card) and the other male DisplayPort connector into the DisplayPort input port on your display device (e.g., monitor, TV, projector). Ensure both connectors are fully seated. The locking mechanism on the connectors can be pressed to release them, ensuring a secure fit during use.
Compatibility: This cable is compatible with any device featuring standard DisplayPort output and input ports. It supports various color depths (6, 8, 10, 12, and 16 bits per color component) and color spaces, and can also work with devices supporting DPCP and HDCP.
Care: To maintain optimal performance and longevity, avoid kinking or sharply bending the cable. Keep connectors clean; if necessary, use a dry, lint-free cloth to gently wipe them. Store the cable loosely coiled when not in use.
