FAQs
Is the fabric easy to maintain?
Velvet is durable but requires regular brushing to keep the pile looking fresh and to remove any dust or pressure marks.
Can I use this chair in a commercial space?
This product is fully compliant with UK fire safety regulations for personal use; it is intended for residential settings.
Why does the color look different in my room?
Velvet reflects light differently depending on the angle and source of light, which can cause the shade to look lighter or darker.
Does the footstool need to be assembled?
Most components are ready to use, but please inspect the packaging for any hardware required for the base attachment upon arrival.
Is the cover removable for washing?
No, the upholstery is not designed to be removed. Spot cleaning with a damp, non-abrasive cloth is recommended.
Troubleshooting
Visible pressure marks or creases in the velvet upon delivery
Use a soft-bristled upholstery brush to gently brush the velvet in the direction of the nap to restore the fibers.
Swivel base feels stiff or noisy
Ensure the chair is on a level surface. If it persists, check the base for any debris or obstructions and consult the manual regarding base lubrication.
The chair does not perfectly match dimensions provided
Because these chairs are handcrafted, minor variations are normal; verify that the space allows for a small margin of error in width and height.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Upon delivery, check that all base components are secure. Because the piece is upholstered in velvet, it may arrive with slight pressure marks from transit; gently brush the fabric in the direction of the pile to lift the fibers and remove any indentations. Place the chair in a stable position and ensure the swivel base has enough clearance to rotate fully. To clean, vacuum periodically using a soft brush attachment and avoid using harsh chemicals. If liquid spills occur, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth rather than rubbing to avoid damaging the velvet pile.
