Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before installation, compare the length and Newton rating of your existing strut with the new unit; look for labels on the old cylinder for compatibility. When installing, ensure the mounting points are secure and that the strut is aligned to prevent side-loading, which can cause premature seal failure. Maintenance is minimal: keep the extending piston rod clean from dust, debris, and grease to ensure smooth movement. If the strut begins to show signs of resistance, wipe the rod with a soft, lint-free cloth, but avoid using abrasive cleaners or oil-based lubricants that could damage the internal seals.
