Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Connect your heating device (heat mat or ceramic bulb) to the power outlet on the Ministat 100.
- Plug the Ministat 100 into your mains power supply.
- Place the waterproof sensor probe at the desired temperature monitoring location within the enclosure (e.g., on the substrate at basking level). Avoid placing it directly on the heat source.
- Adjust the recessed dial to set your target temperature. Use a reliable thermometer to verify the temperature in the enclosure.
Compatibility:
The Ministat 100 is compatible with most standard reptile heat mats and ceramic heat emitters with a maximum wattage of 100 watts. It is designed for on/off control and is not suitable for devices requiring dimming or pulse modulation.
Care:
- Always unplug the thermostat from the mains power before cleaning.
- Wipe the unit and sensor with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or submerge the unit in water (except for the IP-rated sensor probe, which is designed to withstand moisture).
- Ensure the ventilation slots on the thermostat are kept clear of dust and debris.
