Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
- Prepare the Surface: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dirt, dust, or grease. For glossy or previously varnished surfaces, a light sand can help create a better key for adhesion, though simple prep is generally sufficient.
- Stir Well: Thoroughly stir the paint before use to ensure consistent color and texture.
- Intermix Tins (if applicable): If using more than one tin of the same color for a large project, it is good practice to intermix the batches prior to commencing painting to ensure perfect color consistency.
- Apply Coats: Apply an even coat of paint. Allow adequate drying time between coats. A minimum of two coats is recommended for a durable finish.
Compatibility
Blackjack is highly versatile for interior use, specifically recommended for furniture. It's also suitable for interior wood work, trims, skirting, doors, kitchen cupboards, and built-in furniture, on both wood and laminate surfaces. Its EN71-3 certification means it's safe for children's toys, making it an excellent choice for nurseries or playrooms.
Care Instructions
Once fully cured, surfaces painted with Blackjack can be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh abrasive cleaners or excessive scrubbing, as this can dull the matte finish or compromise the paint's integrity.
