The Sealey SDB03XL is a specialized 120mm extra-long rotary burr designed for professional metalworkers and fabricators who require precise access to deep or hard-to-reach areas. Featuring a 10mm head diameter and an arc pointed nose, this tool excels at grinding and deburring both soft and hard metals, including complex welded seams; however, its extended length requires careful handling to prevent vibration or bending during high-speed operation.

Yes, the tungsten carbide material is suitable for most hard metals, though excessive pressure should be avoided to preserve the tool's life.
No, this tool has a 6mm shaft. While 6mm is very close to 1/4 inch, you should use the correct sized collet for safety.
Always return the burr to its included plastic storage case to prevent the cutting edges from becoming chipped or dulled by contact with other tools.
The arc pointed nose allows you to reach into tight corners and precise areas that a flat-ended or cylindrical burr would not be able to access.
No, the shaft is rigid tungsten steel. It is designed to be sturdy, but because it is extra-long, it requires a steady hand to avoid deflection.
Check that the burr is seated correctly and fully in the collet. Reduce the feed pressure and ensure the tool is held at a consistent angle.
Ensure the collet size matches the 6mm shaft exactly and tighten the collet nut securely.
Use a brass or steel wire brush to clean the flutes; do not use heavy impact methods which could chip the carbide.
To set up the SDB03XL, insert the 6mm shank fully into your die grinder collet, ensuring at least 2/3 of the shank is gripped to minimize vibration. Tighten the collet securely before powering on the tool.
