FAQs
Can I use this for fall arrest?
No. This lanyard is strictly for restraint applications where a fall hazard is prevented entirely. It does not contain energy-absorbing elements.
What is the maximum weight capacity?
The lanyard has a maximum rated load of 100kg.
How often should I inspect the lanyard?
It should be inspected before every use by the user, and formally inspected by a competent person at least every 12 months.
What happens if the lanyard gets wet?
Allow the lanyard to air dry naturally in a cool, shaded area. Do not use heat guns or radiators, as excessive heat can damage the synthetic fibers.
Does it come with a specific expiry date?
The product has a 10-year shelf life from the manufacturing date, provided it is stored correctly and passes all periodic inspections.
Troubleshooting
Scaffolding hook gate is sticking
Clear any debris or grit from the gate hinge and apply a light silicone-based lubricant if necessary.
Rope shows minor surface fuzzing
This is normal wear. However, if the fibers are frayed or the core is visible, retire the equipment immediately.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Abrasion-resistant thimbles ensure longer product life
- Easy-to-use scaffolding hook for quick attachment
- Reliable CE certified construction
- Long 10-year potential shelf life
Cons

- Maximum rated load limited to 100kg
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up the lanyard, attach the 19mm carabiner to your harness connection point and use the 52mm scaffolding hook to secure the lanyard to a certified structural anchor. Always ensure the scaffolding hook gate is locked completely after attachment.
Care Instructions:
- Regularly inspect the rope for fraying, cuts, or chemical contamination.
- Keep the lanyard clean by washing with mild detergent and water, then air drying away from direct heat sources.
- Store the equipment in a dry, ventilated area away from direct sunlight or corrosive chemicals.
- The product has a shelf life of up to 10 years from the date of manufacture, provided it passes regular professional inspections.
