No, you should never use boiling water. Allow the kettle to sit for a few minutes after boiling before filling to avoid damaging the rubber and to prevent accidental burns.
The cover is removable and machine-washable. We recommend using a gentle cycle and air-drying to maintain the quality of the faux-fur.
You should fill the bottle to no more than two-thirds of its total capacity to allow for air expansion and to prevent leaks.
While the bottle meets British Standard 1970:2006, children should always be supervised when using it to ensure the stopper is secure and the water temperature is not too high.
It is recommended to inspect your hot water bottle regularly for signs of wear or cracking. If you notice any degradation in the rubber, it should be replaced.
Check that the stopper is screwed on straight and firmly, and inspect the rubber washer for debris or damage.
Ensure you are using hot water rather than boiling water, and verify that the cover is pulled completely over the bottle to provide insulation.
Remove the cover and wash it in the machine on a gentle cycle, then air dry to restore the softness of the faux-fur.
To fill the bottle, hold it by the neck in an upright position and fill it slowly to two-thirds capacity with hot (not boiling) water. Boiling water can damage the internal rubber and shorten the lifespan of the product. Always expel air from the bottle before tightening the stopper to ensure a secure, leak-proof seal.
To clean, remove the faux-fur cover and machine wash according to the label instructions. The internal bottle should be rinsed with warm water periodically and stored empty in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Ensure the stopper is replaced every few years if the thread shows signs of wear to maintain safety.
