Product Information

Full details

The Flexi New Neon M Tape 5 m Yellow is a retractable dog leash designed for medium-sized dogs up to 25 kg. Its primary benefit is enhanced safety in low-light conditions due to highly reflective elements and a bright neon color. A potential caveat is that the tape, while sturdy, requires careful handling to prevent tangling. Key features include a 5-meter tape, a comfortable ergonomic handle with a soft grip, a reliable braking system, and the option to customize with the Multi Box.

FAQs

What is the maximum weight capacity for this leash?

This 'M' size leash is suitable for dogs up to a maximum weight of 25 kg.

How long is the tape?

The tape length is 5 meters.

How does the reflective feature work?

The leash features highly reflective stickers that catch and reflect light, such as headlights, making the leash and your dog more visible in low-light conditions.

Can I attach a waste bag dispenser to this leash?

Yes, this leash is compatible with the Flexi Multi Box, which can be attached to the handle and used to carry waste bags or treats.

Is this leash waterproof?

The leash casing is water-resistant, but it is not fully waterproof. Avoid submerging the product in water. Ensure the tape is dry before retracting.

What colors are available for the Flexi New Neon line?

The Flexi New Neon line is available in multiple vibrant colors including yellow, pink, orange, green, and blue, in addition to the black components.

How should I maintain the leash for longevity?

Wipe the leash clean with a damp cloth and allow it to dry completely before retracting. Store in a dry environment and periodically inspect for wear and tear.

Troubleshooting

Tape gets jammed or doesn't retract smoothly.

Ensure the tape is not twisted or caught on anything. Gently pull the tape out slightly and try retracting again. Avoid sudden, jerky movements. If the issue persists, inspect the tape for damage or debris.

Braking system feels stiff or unresponsive.

Check for any dirt or debris that may be obstructing the mechanism. Try cleaning the exterior of the housing. If the problem continues, the internal mechanism may require professional attention.

Carabiner clip is difficult to open or close.

Check the carabiner for dirt or rust. Clean it with a small brush and consider applying a small amount of lubricant if necessary. Ensure it is not bent or damaged.

Reflective stickers are peeling off.

This can occur with prolonged use or exposure to harsh elements. While it may affect visibility, the leash will still function. Avoid excessive scrubbing of the reflective areas during cleaning.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Significantly increases visibility and safety for walks in low-light conditions.
Comfortable to hold due to the ergonomic handle with a soft grip.
Provides a good balance of freedom for the dog and control for the owner with its 5m tape.
Durable and reliable for daily use with dogs up to 25 kg.
Customizable with accessories like the Multi Box.

Cons

Tape can tangle if not managed carefully during retraction or when the dog changes direction suddenly.
The bright neon color may not appeal to all aesthetic preferences.
Requires conscious effort to ensure reflective elements are positioned to catch light effectively.
As with any retractable leash, requires responsible handling to avoid injury to owner or pet.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: The Flexi New Neon M Tape leash is ready to use straight out of the packaging. Simply attach the carabiner clip securely to your dog's harness or collar.

Compatibility: This leash is designed for dogs weighing up to 25 kg. It is compatible with the Flexi Multi Box accessory, which can be purchased separately and attached to the handle for convenience.

Care: To clean the leash, use a damp cloth to wipe down the casing and the tape. Avoid using harsh detergents or submerging the product in water. Ensure the tape is completely dry before retracting it fully to prevent mildew or damage. Store in a dry place when not in use. Periodically check the carabiner and the tape for any signs of wear or damage.
