The LeMieux Vector Control Stirrup is machined from aviation-grade aluminium, offering an impressive strength-to-weight ratio. It is lighter than most stirrups on the market at just 372g, without compromising on stability. The ergonomic footplate is set at 0 degrees with a cross-track grip surface and embedded hardened steel pins for maximum boot security. A twin balance arch system distributes weight evenly across the base of the stirrup frame. The recessed and off-set apex of the frame encourages a 45-degree outward orientation, making it easier for the rider to locate the optimum foot angle and regain a lost stirrup. An integrated safety arm features a two-stage release system to prevent unintentional opening. The spring-loaded safety arm locks into the base of the main frame, ensuring rider weight is spread evenly across the stirrup during maximum pressure, preventing outside dropping and flexing. If pressure is applied to the stirrup arm, such as during a fall, the arm releases, allowing the foot to exit the stirrup and preventing entrapment. The stirrup arm breakout force is 36N (equivalent to 3.62kg), providing sufficient resistance against unintentional opening while ensuring a safe release in the event of a rider fall. These stirrups are competition legal (FEI, British Dressage, British Eventing and British Showjumping).
