Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setting up your YouGarden planters is straightforward. To ensure longevity and plant health, fill the bottom of the pot with a layer of horticultural grit or expanded clay pebbles before adding your chosen potting mix. This practice improves drainage efficiency. When planting, leave approximately 2cm of space between the soil surface and the rim of the pot to prevent overflow during watering.
For maintenance, wipe the planters with a damp cloth periodically to remove dust from the textured leaf design. Despite being frost-proof, placing the pots on "pot feet" or raised supports during the winter months can improve airflow and prevent them from sitting in frozen surface water, further extending their lifespan.
