Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: To install, strip the outer jacket of your audio cable, then carefully separate and tin the individual conductor wires and the shield. Pass the cable through the connector's rear boot, then solder each conductor wire to its corresponding terminal on the connector, and the shield to the connector body. Ensure a clean solder joint and no wire bridging. The connector can then be secured over the solder points.
Compatibility: These connectors are compatible with standard 6.35mm (1/4 inch) audio jacks found on most musical instruments, amplifiers, mixers, headphones, and audio interfaces. They are designed for stereo audio signals. The connectors can accommodate cables with an outer diameter up to 7mm.
Care: While these are passive connectors, care should be taken to keep the solder terminals clean and free from corrosion. Avoid excessive moisture and physical stress on the solder joints. When not in use, store cables with these connectors in a protected manner to prevent damage to the jack.
