The Stanley Quicksquare Rafter Square (STHT46013-0) is an essential layout tool designed for carpenters, roofers, and DIY enthusiasts who require high-visibility, accurate measurements in diverse job site conditions. Its key benefit lies in the permanent dual-colour injection molding that prevents measurement markings from fading or wearing away, though it is important to note that as an ABS plastic tool, it may not offer the same heavy-duty impact resistance as metal alternatives for extreme site abuse.

This model is constructed from durable, high-impact ABS plastic.
Yes, it is designed to act as a straight-edge guide for power saws when cross-cutting.
No, because the markings are part of a dual-colour injection process, they are structurally embedded into the tool and will not rub off.
This 300mm version is designed for metric-standard layout tasks.
Yes, it features integrated hip/valley cut-outs and common rafter conversion tables, making it well-suited for standard roof framing.
The dual-colour design is optimized for high contrast, but if glare persists, slightly shift your viewing angle to leverage the depth of the molded markings.
Ensure the heel of the square is held firmly against the edge of the lumber, as proper technique is required to prevent the tool from drifting during marking.
This square requires no specialized setup or calibration; it is ready to use immediately out of the package. To maintain the accuracy of your tool, store it in a clean, dry place when not in use and avoid dropping it on concrete from significant heights to prevent hairline cracks in the ABS structure. When using the tool as a saw guide, ensure the base of your saw remains flush against the square's edge throughout the entire cut. If the surface becomes dirty, clean it with a mild soap and water solution to ensure the high-contrast markings remain visible.
