The Aqua One Natural Mangrove Root is designed for aquarium hobbyists looking to create an authentic, naturalistic habitat for their tropical or coldwater fish. By providing essential shelter and a complex aesthetic structure, it transforms standard tank layouts into professional-grade aquascapes, though users should note that as a natural product, each piece features unique dimensions and shapes that require manual rinsing before submersion.

While primarily designed for freshwater, the wood is natural; however, it may break down faster in high-salinity environments.
Natural wood can slightly lower the pH of your water over time due to the release of organic acids.
Boiling is optional but recommended as it helps clean the wood, removes excess tannins, and ensures the wood is waterlogged.
Yes, it is excellent for anchoring mosses, Anubias, or Java Fern using fishing line or plant-safe glue.
Each piece is unique, generally ranging from 15cm to 25cm in length. Shapes vary significantly.
Continue soaking the wood in a bucket of water for several more days, or weigh it down with a heavy, aquarium-safe rock until it fully saturates.
The wood is releasing natural tannins. Perform small, regular water changes to clear the tint, or boil the wood for 30 minutes to leach out excess tannins before placing it in the tank.
Before adding the mangrove root to your aquarium, rinse it thoroughly under running water to remove any surface debris or dust. If you find the wood floats, soak it in a separate bucket of water for 24 to 48 hours until it becomes waterlogged and sinks on its own. For permanent placement, you can secure the root to a piece of slate using aquarium-safe silicone or attach it to heavy rocks. To maintain the piece, simply brush off any excess algae during regular water changes. Avoid using soaps or chemical cleaners, as these can be toxic to fish.
