Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and smooth. Remove any dust, grease, or old adhesive.
- Measure and cut the vinyl using the grid on the reverse, leaving a slight overlap for trimming.
- Peel back a small section of the backing paper from one edge.
- Carefully align the vinyl with the starting edge of the surface.
- Slowly peel off the backing paper while smoothing the vinyl onto the surface using a felt edge smoother to push out air bubbles.
- For curved edges, a hairdryer can gently warm the vinyl, making it more pliable.
- Trim any excess material with a utility cutter.
Compatibility:
This vinyl wrap is designed for application on any flat, non-porous surface, including wood, laminate, metal, and glass. It is not recommended for textured, freshly painted, or uneven surfaces.
Care:
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary.
- Wipe up spills immediately to prevent staining.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, which can damage the finish.
- Do not place hot pans directly onto the surface; use trivets or heat-resistant mats. For areas near heat sources like hobs, ensure adequate ventilation and consider using sealant.
