Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Preparation: Ensure the model surface is clean, dry, and free of any oils or contaminants.
- Thinning: For optimal results, thin the paint with Cleaner & Thinner (ATOM-20500) or Cleaner & Thinner Retarder (ATOM-20501) by approximately 30%.
- Application:
- Brush: Apply thin, even coats using a quality brush. Multiple coats may be necessary.
- Airbrush: Use a fine needle/nozzle and adjust the air pressure as needed (typically 15-25 PSI). Apply thin, even coats, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next.
- Drying Time: The paint dries quickly to the touch. Allow a minimum of 30 minutes between coats and a few hours for full curing before handling or applying further finishes.
- Cleaning: Clean brushes and airbrushes immediately after use with water.
Compatibility: This paint is compatible with most common modeling surfaces, including plastic, resin, and metal. It is designed to be layered with acrylics, enamels, and decal solutions once dry.
