Setup
- Installation: The hood can be installed as either a ducted or recirculating unit. Follow the included instructions or consult a qualified professional for installation.
- Ducting: For ducted installation, ensure a proper vent connection of 15 cm diameter to the outside.
- Recirculating: Install charcoal filters (optional) for recirculating operation.
- Power: Connect the hood to a 220-240V, 50 Hz power supply.
- Distance: Maintain a minimum distance of 45 cm from an electric hob and 65 cm from a gas hob.
Compatibility
The Smeg hood is compatible with standard kitchen cabinets. Ensure sufficient space is available for the hood's dimensions (598 mm width, 452 mm depth, 17.5 cm height without chimney). Compatible with a 150mm vent outlet.
Care
- Cleaning: Wipe the hood with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Grease Filters: Wash the aluminium grease filters regularly (every 1-2 months) in warm, soapy water or in a dishwasher.
- Charcoal Filters: Replace charcoal filters as recommended by the manufacturer (typically every 3-6 months) for optimal performance in recirculating mode.
