The Loops DC Power Extension Cable is an essential solution for homeowners and security installers who need to bridge the gap between a power outlet and their electronic equipment. Ideal for CCTV cameras, DVR systems, and other low-current devices, this 10-meter cable provides the necessary reach to hide power sources away from your surveillance hardware. While it excels at extending reach in static setups, users must ensure their equipment specifically requires a 5.5mm x 2.1mm connection, as it is incompatible with 3.5mm sockets or high-draw electronics exceeding 0.4A.

No. This cable is rated for a maximum of 0.4A and is intended for low-current devices like CCTV cameras and DVRs.
It features a durable PVC jacket, but it is not rated for permanent outdoor exposure; ensure connectors remain dry and protected.
While technically possible, daisy-chaining multiple cables can result in voltage drop and reduced performance. It is recommended to use one continuous cable run.
The cable supports a maximum voltage of 20V.
No, this cable is specifically designed for 5.5mm x 2.1mm connectors.
Verify the connection is firmly seated at both ends and check that the device power requirements do not exceed 0.4A.
Confirm that your device utilizes a 5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel jack; this cable is not compatible with 3.5mm sockets.
To install, simply connect the male end of your existing power adapter into the female socket of the extension cable, and plug the male end of the extension cable into your device. Ensure the connection is secure and verify that your device requires a 5.5mm x 2.1mm plug. To maintain the cable, avoid sharp bends or pinching the cord under heavy furniture, as this can degrade the internal wiring over time. If routing through walls or around doorways, use cable clips to prevent tension on the connectors.
