This set includes a tubular latch for standard interior doors, but does not include a locking mechanism (key or thumb-turn).
While intended for solid doors, they can be installed on hollow-core doors if you ensure the fixings have enough purchase or use through-bolts.
The rose has a diameter of 56mm.
The handle uses front face fixing, which is standard for this Victorian style, ensuring a secure attachment.
No, this product is designed for interior use only and may not withstand external weather conditions.
Check that the fixing screws are fully tightened and the rose is properly seated against the door surface.
Ensure the spindle is correctly centered and the tubular latch is not binding due to an oversized or misaligned cutout.
Adjust the strike plate on the door frame to ensure the latch bolt aligns perfectly with the aperture.
To install, ensure your door thickness is between 30mm and 50mm. Begin by drilling the necessary boreholes for the tubular latch, then fix the latch into the edge of the door. Position the roses on both sides, ensuring they are level before securing them with the provided face fixings. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the silver finish, avoiding abrasive chemicals that could scratch the metallic surface. Periodically check that the fixing screws are tight, as normal home vibration can loosen hardware over time.
