Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: To install the Perry Heavy Brenton Padbolt, you will need appropriate screws or bolts suitable for your gate material. Position the padbolt along the edge of the gate and the corresponding frame or post, ensuring it aligns correctly for secure closure. Mark the fixing points, pre-drill if necessary, and then securely fasten the padbolt using your chosen fixings. Remember, this padbolt requires a separate padlock to secure it.
Compatibility: This padbolt is designed for heavy back gates, sheds, or other large access points. Ensure that the gate and frame have sufficient material and structural integrity to support the padbolt and withstand the forces applied during attempted breaches. It is compatible with most standard-sized padlocks.
Care: To maintain the durability and performance of the galvanised finish, periodically wipe the padbolt with a clean, dry cloth. In areas with particularly harsh weather, a light application of oil to the moving parts and the locking mechanism of the padlock can help prevent seizing and ensure smooth operation.
