This coupled with the ability to tune them to your preference provides you with fantastic brakes for you to tackle the high demands of mountain biking. Optimized lever axle position with additional contact point and refined ergonomics. Greater flexibility and action-optimized cockpit layout. 10% stiffer than M8000 even under high temp conditions. Quicker brake engagement with shorter free stroke. Toolless reach adjust & Free stroke adjust. These levers offer a quicker brake engagement with a shorter free-stroke with toolless reach and free stroke adjustment so that you can fine tune them to your liking. They are stiffer than the M8000 levers even in high temperature conditions. The lever axle position has been optimized for additional contact point and refined ergonomics. Ergonomic and powerful Servo Wave XT hydraulic disc brake levers offer exceptional control and modulation. Short stroke Servo-Wave mechanism for quick pad engagement and more power for aggressive riding. An increase in pad clearance at the calliper has enabled Shimano to use their proven Servo Wave technology. As the brake lever is pulled a cam linkage enables rapid pad to rotor engagement, at the point of contact the cam moves across multiplying the leverage ratio and increasing the stopping power. Adjustable free stroke enables you to fine tune the amount of lever pull before pad and rotor engagement. Easy access no tools lever reach adjustment dial!
