FAQs

Are these foam nuggets safe for the environment?

Yes, they are designed to be biodegradable and fish-friendly.

How many nuggets come in a tub?

Each tub contains approximately 40 nuggets.

Can I use these with any hook size?

They are designed to be versatile and work with the vast majority of standard carp hook patterns and sizes.

Do I need to retrieve the foam after the cast?

No, the foam is designed to dissolve naturally in the water, so there is no need to retrieve it.

Does the color affect the attraction?

The high-viz colors are primarily intended for visibility, helping you see the location of your rig and attracting fish through curiosity.

Troubleshooting

Foam dissolves too quickly upon hitting the water.

Ensure your hands are completely dry when handling the nuggets before the cast.

Hook point keeps poking through the foam.

Ensure you are folding the foam nugget firmly in half and embedding the hook point deeply into the center of the fold.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Protects the hook point from weed and debris during casting
Highly visible for easier tracking in the water
Biodegradable composition prevents water pollution
Easy to apply even with cold or wet hands

Cons

Not intended for long-term rig buoyancy
Requires manual application for every cast
Can be difficult to retrieve if the fish is lost mid-fight

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To use the High Risers effectively, take a single nugget and bend it in half. Carefully push the hook point through both halves of the foam, ensuring the point is completely covered. When casting, the foam remains in place. The product is compatible with most standard carp hook sizes.

For care, ensure the lid of the tub is tightly sealed after every use to prevent moisture from entering and prematurely dissolving the foam. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain the integrity of the biodegradable material.
