No, the hub is powered directly by your MacBook through the USB-C connection.
The design is optimized specifically for the physical port spacing of MacBook Pro and Air models from 2016-2020.
It may not fit if your case is thick. You might need to remove the hardshell case to ensure a secure, flush connection.
The device features a premium-feel, durable construction designed to match the colour and texture of a grey MacBook.
Yes, it connects directly into the side of your laptop, eliminating the need for a tethering cable.
Ensure the hub is pushed fully into the ports. If using a protective laptop case, remove the case as it may prevent a secure connection.
Check that the HDMI cable is firmly seated in both the hub and the display. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the hub to reset the handshake.
Ensure the external drive being used is compatible with the port speeds provided. Avoid daisy-chaining multiple hubs.
To set up the docking station, simply align the USB-C connectors with the corresponding ports on your MacBook and press firmly until flush against the laptop chassis. Ensure you are using a compatible MacBook Pro or Air model manufactured between 2016 and 2020 to guarantee full data throughput and power delivery. To maintain the device, keep the connector pins free from dust and debris by storing it in a protective pouch when not in use. Clean the exterior shell using a dry, soft microfiber cloth to prevent smudges or surface scratches.
