Royal Canin Veterinary Anallergenic Dry Dog Food - 8Kg

This food is specifically formulated for dogs with severe nutrient intolerances or food allergies, as diagnosed and recommended by a veterinary professional.

Royal Canin Anallergenic is a therapeutic diet designed for specific medical conditions. Its use requires professional diagnosis and supervision to ensure it is the appropriate and safest nutritional choice for your pet.

It contains highly hydrolysed feather proteins, which are broken down into very small components (oligopeptides and free amino acids). This significantly reduces their potential to trigger an allergic reaction in sensitive dogs.

No, this diet is specifically formulated for dogs with diagnosed nutrient intolerances and should only be fed under veterinary guidance. A healthy dog typically does not require such a specialized diet.

Nutritional management with Royal Canin Anallergenic may be continued throughout your dog's lifetime, depending on your veterinary professional's recommendation and the ongoing management of their condition.

Yes, Royal Canin Veterinary Anallergenic Dry Dog Food is also available in a 3kg bag, in addition to the 8kg bag.

For Anallergenic to be effective, it is crucial that your dog consumes only this prescribed diet. Any other foods, treats, or table scraps could introduce allergens and compromise the efficacy of the hypoallergenic diet. Consult your vet for suitable hypoallergenic treat options if needed.

Ensure a gradual transition if switching from a previous diet. Try mixing a small amount with water to create a palatable paste initially. If refusal persists, contact your veterinarian as your dog's condition or palatability preferences may require further assessment.

Immediately consult your veterinary professional. It's crucial to ensure there are no other sources of allergens (e.g., hidden treats, table scraps, other pets' food) and that the diagnosis is correct. Your vet may need to adjust the treatment plan.

If symptoms are mild, ensure the transition to the new food was gradual over 7-10 days. If severe or persistent, contact your veterinarian immediately. It could indicate an underlying issue, too rapid a food change, or a reaction to the specific ingredients, though highly unlikely given its hypoallergenic nature.
