The fit is generally considered standard. If you have wide feet, it's recommended to try them on or check specific width sizing if available for this model.

Use a soft brush to remove loose dirt. Then, use a damp cloth with a small amount of mild soap and water to wipe down the exterior. Rinse with clean water and allow to air dry.

The GORE-TEX® membrane offers waterproofing, and while it has good breathability, extremely hot conditions might still lead to some heat buildup. The design incorporates learnings from trail running shoes to improve airflow.

The Vibram® TC5+ outsole is specially formulated for Merrell, providing enhanced traction and durability with an optimized lug design for grip on various hiking surfaces.

It is not recommended to machine wash GORE-TEX® footwear as it can damage the waterproof membrane and adhesives. Hand washing with mild soap and water is the preferred method.

GORE-TEX® is a waterproof yet breathable membrane. It ensures that water from the outside (like rain or puddles) cannot get into your shoes, while allowing moisture from sweat to escape, keeping your feet dry and comfortable.

While they incorporate features from Merrell's trail running line for breathability and agility, they are primarily designed for hiking. For dedicated running, a specific trail running shoe might be more appropriate.

Ensure the shoe is not oversaturated. Check laces are snug to prevent water ingress from the top. The GORE-TEX® membrane prevents external water from entering, but internal moisture from sweat can also accumulate if not managed through breathability.

The Vibram® TC5+ outsole is designed for varied terrain. On extremely smooth, wet surfaces, grip may be reduced. Ensure the outsole is clean of mud or debris for optimal performance.

The Moab Speed 2 may require a short break-in period. Wear them for shorter walks initially and gradually increase duration. Ensure proper lacing technique for a secure yet comfortable fit.

This is normal for new hiking footwear. Consistent wear will soften the materials. Conditioning products specifically designed for GORE-TEX® footwear can be used sparingly, following product instructions.
