The Spira Brass Octagonal Mortice Door Knob in bronze is a premium hardware choice for homeowners and designers seeking to enhance Regency or Georgian-style interiors with authentic period detailing. This substantial, unsprung knob provides a luxurious tactile experience and a striking aesthetic for large doors, though users should note that because it is unsprung, a high-quality heavy-duty latch is required for optimal return performance.

No, this product includes the knobs, rose, and fixings; a heavy-duty mortice latch must be purchased separately.
This is a standard door knob; if privacy is needed, you will need to pair it with a separate bathroom thumb turn and release.
While it is durable enough for front doors, keep in mind that external exposure will accelerate the patina process of the bronze finish.
The knob protrudes 78mm from the surface of the door.
Regularly dust with a soft cloth and occasionally apply a quality furniture wax to protect the metal from oxidation.
The rose diameter is 83mm.
The knob is unsprung; ensure the mortice latch installed inside the door is a heavy-duty model with a strong internal spring.
Check that the mounting screws are tightened evenly and the spindle is centered to prevent lopsided movement.
Installation is designed for standard mortice setups. Begin by measuring your door thickness to ensure the provided spindle and screws are appropriate. Since the knob has an 83mm rose, ensure your door stile has sufficient width to accommodate the mounting footprint without overhang. To care for the bronze finish, use only a soft, dry cloth for regular dusting. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive scouring pads, as these can strip the finish and accelerate uneven tarnishing. If the bronze develops spots, a light application of high-quality wax can help protect the surface and maintain its deep, uniform glow.
