FAQs

What sizes are available?

The Partridge Tippet Rings are available in 1.5mm, 2.0mm, and 3.0mm sizes.

What is the best knot to use?

A clinch knot or Palomar knot is recommended for attaching the tippet and leader to the ring.

Can I use these rings for saltwater fishing?

Yes, but be sure to rinse them thoroughly after each use to prevent corrosion.

How do I choose the correct ring size?

Select the ring size based on the tippet and leader strength you are using. Generally, 1.5mm and 2.0mm are suitable for smaller flies and tippets while 3.0mm is appropriate for heavier tippets and larger flies.

How often should I replace the tippet ring?

Replace the tippet ring if it shows any signs of wear, such as deformation or abrasion, or if the knot starts to slip.

Are these rings suitable for Euro nymphing?

Yes, they are ideal for creating Euro nymph leader setups, simplifying tippet changes and dropper placement.

Troubleshooting

Knot slipping on the ring.

Ensure the knot is properly tied and cinched down tightly. Consider using a knot-tying tool to ensure a secure knot.
