This 11-piece tool set by Tooltime is designed for automotive technicians and DIY enthusiasts who require a reliable solution for engine maintenance tasks, specifically involving fan clutches and camshaft pulleys. Its primary benefit is the versatile, multi-pin design that fits a vast range of vehicle makes and models, though users should note that it requires manual adjustment and care during high-torque applications to prevent pin slippage.

It is designed as a universal tool covering the majority of cars and light commercial vehicles, but it is best to verify your pulley hole diameter against the provided 6mm to 16mm pin sizes.
While the tool is heat-treated for strength, it is a holding tool, not a breaker bar. Avoid using excessive force that could bend the pins.
The set includes four pairs of pins, with the largest size being 16mm.
Yes, it is designed to be rugged and is intended to protect the tools during transport and storage in a busy workshop.
Simply wipe it down with a clean, lint-free rag to remove grease and oil. Ensure it is dry before placing it back in the case to prevent rust.
Ensure the pins are fully tightened into the arms and that the jaw spread is adjusted so the pins sit flush and perpendicular to the pulley face.
Check the pivot point for debris or lack of lubrication. A light application of machine oil can restore smooth movement to the adjustment mechanism.
To set up the tool, select the pin pair that matches the diameter of the holes on your specific pulley. Thread the pins securely into the jaw arms. Adjust the spread of the jaws until the pins are perfectly aligned with the pulley holes, then lock the tool into place using the provided mechanism. Regarding compatibility, this kit covers the majority of domestic and imported light vehicles, though always verify the hole diameter before applying pressure. After use, wipe the tool clean of engine oil and debris. Store the components in the provided blow-moulded case in a cool, dry area to maintain the chrome finish and prevent corrosion.
