Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up your project, prepare your workspace by covering it with a plastic tablecloth or working outside to manage potential drips. Ensure your fabric is at least 80 percent natural fiber, such as cotton, rayon, or linen, for the best results, as synthetic fibers do not hold dye well. Before starting, ensure all fabric is freshly laundered without fabric softener. Once the project is complete and the dye has set for the recommended time, rinse the fabric in cold water until it runs clear, then wash it separately in the washing machine to remove excess pigment. Always wear the provided gloves to prevent skin staining during the application process.
