Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Ensure the drive shaft is properly supported and the old boot is completely removed. Clean the shaft and joint thoroughly. Slide the new CV boot over the shaft, ensuring the correct orientation. Secure the boot using the provided stainless steel clamps, tightening them firmly according to the included instructions to create a watertight seal. Apply the MoS2 CV grease into the boot before sealing the final end.
Compatibility: Measure the shaft diameter (19-28 mm) and the outer diameter of the CV joint where the boot will seal (56-110 mm) to confirm fitment before installation. These are universal kits and not vehicle-specific.
Care: Regularly inspect CV boots for cracks, tears, or signs of grease leakage. Prompt replacement of damaged boots is essential to prevent joint damage. Clean the area around the CV boot during routine maintenance to avoid abrasive buildup.
