Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Measure and Cut: Unroll the wire mesh and measure the required length and height for your application. Use sturdy wire cutters or tin snips to cut the mesh to size. Be cautious of sharp edges after cutting.
- Secure: Use appropriate fasteners such as U-staples, wire ties, or screws with washers to attach the mesh securely to posts, frames, or existing structures. Ensure there are no gaps where animals could escape or enter.
- Install: For ground-level applications like plant protection, bury the edges of the mesh slightly into the soil to prevent burrowing pests.
Compatibility:
This wire mesh is compatible with standard wooden posts, metal posts, and various framing materials commonly used in garden construction. It can be used in conjunction with other fencing materials for reinforcement.
Care:
- Cleaning: The PVC coating makes the mesh largely maintenance-free. Clean with a damp cloth if necessary to remove dirt or debris. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or tools that could damage the coating.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the mesh for any signs of damage to the PVC coating or excessive wear. Address any issues promptly to maintain its protective qualities.
