Product Information

Full details

The Somnior Mattress is designed for individuals seeking a balanced sleep experience with a modern aesthetic. Its key benefit is the combination of pressure relief and supportive layers, topped with a cool-touch black cover. A potential caveat is its medium-firm rating, which may not suit those preferring very soft or very firm surfaces. Features include memory foam for contouring, reflex foam for support, individually wrapped pocket springs for motion isolation, enhanced edge support, a breathable cool-touch cover, and hypoallergenic materials.

FAQs

What is the firmness level of the Somnior Mattress?

The Somnior Mattress is rated as medium-firm, offering a balance between softness for comfort and firmness for support.

How do I clean the black cover?

The cover can be spot cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals and excessive moisture. It is recommended to use a mattress protector.

Is this mattress suitable for adjustable bases?

Yes, the mattress construction generally allows it to be used on adjustable bases. However, always check the flexibility of the mattress and ensure your base is compatible.

What sizes are available?

The Somnior Mattress is available in 2FT6 Small Single, 3FT Single, 4FT Small Double, 4FT6 Double, 5FT King, and 6FT Super King sizes.

What is the warranty period?

The mattress comes with a 1-year manufacturer warranty.

Does the black cover sleep hot?

The cover is designed with a 'Luxe Cool Sleep Surface' and heat-repellent technology to promote airflow and a cooler sleep. However, individual temperature sensitivity varies.

How long does it take for the mattress to fully expand?

After unpacking, the mattress typically takes 24-72 hours to fully expand and reach its intended shape and firmness.

Troubleshooting

Mattress has an initial odor upon unpacking.

This is normal for new mattresses due to vacuum sealing. Allow the mattress to ventilate in a well-aired room for 48-72 hours. The odor should dissipate.

Mattress does not seem to expand to full size.

Ensure the mattress has been out of its packaging for at least 72 hours. Check that it is on a flat, supportive surface. If the issue persists, contact customer support.

Uneven surface or noticeable sagging.

This could indicate a manufacturing defect or an issue with the bed base. Ensure the base is level and providing adequate support. If sagging is significant, check the warranty terms for a claim.

Partner disturbance is still noticeable.

While pocket springs minimize motion transfer, some slight transfer can occur. Ensure you are not placing excessive weight on the edge. If the issue is severe, consider a mattress with thicker memory foam layers or a different construction.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Provides a balance of comfort and support suitable for various sleep positions.
  • Minimizes motion transfer, ideal for couples.
  • Offers enhanced durability and usability with reinforced edge support.
  • Features a cooling top cover for improved temperature regulation.
  • Hypoallergenic properties are beneficial for allergy sufferers.
  • Striking black design offers a unique, modern look.

Cons

  • The medium-firm feel may not be ideal for sleepers who prefer very soft or very firm mattresses.
  • A 1-year warranty may be shorter than some competitors.
  • Mattress depth of 28cm might be too high for some standard bedding.
  • Requires a break-in period for optimal comfort.
  • The black cover may show dust or lint more visibly than lighter colors.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Unpack the mattress carefully in the room where it will be used.
  2. Allow the mattress to decompress and expand to its full size. This typically takes 24-72 hours. Ensure good ventilation during this period.
  3. Place the mattress on a suitable base. Compatible bases include platform beds, slatted frames (with slats no more than 7cm apart), or a box spring.

Compatibility:

  • The Somnior Mattress is compatible with most bed frames, including platform beds, adjustable bases (ensure mattress flexibility is suitable), and traditional box springs or slatted bases.
  • Ensure your bed frame provides adequate support for a mattress of this type and depth (28cm).

Care:

  • Spot Clean Only: Use a mild detergent and a damp cloth to clean spills. Avoid soaking the mattress.
  • Rotate Regularly: For even wear, rotate the mattress head-to-foot every 3-6 months.
  • Use a Mattress Protector: A waterproof mattress protector is highly recommended to safeguard against spills, stains, and allergens, prolonging the mattress's lifespan and maintaining hygiene.
  • Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals on the mattress surface.
